Kavallerie Shepherds, German Shepherd Breeders

Breeding German Shepherds with integrity and a commitment to the German Shepherd Dog! Our breeding program is a hobby/passion not for the sake of survival or our primary source of income. Our German Shepherds are all pets and this is always their primary function in our household. Yes they’re trained in Schutzhund and various venues but this is not their sole purpose, German Shepherds thrive when part of an intricate relationship with their family and are included in all day activities. Our bloodlines we choose to breed primarily consist of old Czech and East German (DDR). We are committed to producing healthy German Shepherd Pups that will have stable temperaments, solid nerves, LOTS of courage, dark pigment, balanced drives & good hips! All of this makes our German Shepherd Puppies excellent prospects for real work or healthy, mentally stable, active companions!

We are also proud members of the GSDCA-WDA (German Shepherd Dog Club of America - Working Dog Association) & the DVG AMERICA (an all breed Schutzhund organization)

All of our German Shepherds are incredibly loyal and excellent family members! With "their people" our German Shepherds are cuddly & loving! With strangers our German Shepherds are naturally aloof, some more than others. In public our German Shepherds are confident and love to explore new places and things. A German Shepherd is a great breed for those who are active and will include their German Shepherd in their daily activities and family functions as well as vacations:-) German Shepherds thrive when they are kept with their family and will adapt to almost all situations if introduced when they are just a German Shepherd Puppy. This includes families with children (German Shepherd's love children), chickens, cats, etc....

We are a small hobby German Shepherd Breeder with having litters maybe once or twice a year. Our German Shepherds are accomplished Schutzhund dogs as well as family companions. I would NOT say that they are only "sport dogs" since they are serious and also have the ability to do work in the real world. When we do breed our German Shepherds, we research pedigrees prior to ensure health, longevity & workability since we only breed our German Shepherds to better the German Shepherd breed NOT for the purpose of just producing more German Shepherd Puppies. We choose our German Shepherd Breeding pairs based on their proven work ethic, temperament, pedigree, and Hip & Health Certifications. The German Shepherd Dog should be a versatile dog not a versatile breed!
